Prof. (Dr.) S. B. Patil is B. Tech. (Agril. Engg.) from MPKV, Rahuri (M.S.), M. E. (Ag.) FMPE from MPUAT, Udaipur (Rajasthan) and Ph. D (FMPE) from Dr. BSKKV Dapoli (M.S.). Presently he is working as Professor (FMPE) and Principal in Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Agril. Engg. & Tech., Talsande,Tal: Hatkanangale, Dist: Kolhapur (M.S.). He has more than 18 years experience in teaching and published total 80 papers/articles in different research journals, technical magazines, symposiums, news papers, delivered Nine Radio/TV talks on various technical topics in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering and authored eight books/booklets. He is recipient of ‘FIRST PRIZE’ for Research Based Writing (2007) in Baliraja Magazine, Pune, ‘BEST ENGINEER‘ by Institution of Engineers (India), Kolhapur Local Centre for the year 2012. ‘BEST POSTER AWARD’ in National Seminar on Recent Trends in Plant science and Agricultural Research, organized by Zonal Agricultural Research Station (MPKV), Solapur 2018, He has developed many machines/implements useful for farmers and has three Research Recommendations in his credit. He is Life Member of Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers, New Delhi, Member of International Association of Engineers and Associate Member and Chartered Engineer of Institution of Engineers (India).
